Body Mass Index (or BMI) is calculated with a formula that uses your height and weight. You can either use meters and kilograms, or inches and pounds. Let’s walk through the one that uses meters and kilograms.
[weight in kg ÷ (height in m)2] x 703
Divide your weight in kilograms by your height in meters squared, and then multiply that answer by 703. For example, if someone is 1,8 meters, and 72.5 kilograms the calculation would look like the following:
[1.8/(72.5)2] x 703 = 22.4
If your age is Up to 25 years old your BMI should fluctuate ~ 19.5-22.5
If you are older than 25 years the BMI should fluctuate ~20.5-25.9
