Devil's apron (laminaria) – Kelp contains a great amount of compounds of iodine, various vitamins, microelements, irreplaceable amino acids and other biologically active matter.
Laminaria’s effect is established by the presence of organic iodine compounds in its composition. Iodine is essential for thyroid gland functioning; it takes part in formation of thyroxin hormone. Entering the body in certain quantities, iodine prevents thyroid tumor development and influences the thyroid hormone ratio. Iodine improves protein assimilation, absorption of phosphorus, calcium and iron,, and activates a number of enzymes.
